I finished reading Ghost Girl by Torey Hayden. Great book! It's a pity they didn't managed to find and prosecute the real culprit/s who is/are behind Jade (Judie) abuse due to lack of evidence. Also, it wasn't sure if the stories that she told were real. It can be due to psychological explanation and that the things she experienced like the fear of spiders, carve on her sister's (amber) stomach, the existence of the people she mentioned like Tashee and characters of 'Dallas' (but do this do not rule out the possibility of she being genuinely abused. Or there is the existence of ritual child abuse or for pedophilic purposes, most likely to make pornographic films.

How do you differentiate being naive and giving others the benefit of doubt and trusting them. If you choose to believe them, what if they choose and lie to you and you're the one who get hurt in the other. If you don't, what if their stories are real and because you chose not to help them and they got hurt. 

Why the world appear to be such a complicated place. Why are humans equipped to be so scary at times. Why are humans equipped with the emotions to sometimes feel so bad.
