3 Things I'm Grateful for Everyday

8th June 2015
1) No monday blues today because there is no school!

2) I exercised...for 7 minutes. Better than nothing.

3) My father bought me fish soup beehoon for dinner today.

 9th June 2015
1) I woke up and I have breakfast (ba zhang) in the tian fan bo waiting for me.

2) I have a vacumn cleaner and a mop that can squeeze dry automatically so I don't have to sweep and squeeze dry manually.

3) I am able to zi ran xing on a weekday. That is a luxury!

10th June 2015
1) I finally got to sing K after a long long time.

2) Got a dessert treat from Cheryl at Awfully Chocolate

3) Got to eat chocolate tarts Cheryl bought while singing K.

11th June 2015
1) I exercised at least half an hour.

2) Finalising adventure cove outing next tuesday.

3)  Apart from Jurassic Park and Minions, I found another movie that I want to watch. Terminator!

1) The good weather when I went to watch atheletics at stadium today. Although when we left it was slightly drizzling but otherwise the weather was good since it wasn't pouring.

2) I had my medicine when I woke up and couldn't breathe well.

3) I got to redeem a pen while waiting for Eunice to come by playing a game. Never waste time waiting. Lol.

 1) My grandma made dumplings!!!

2) Had a fulfilling dessert with my cousin after dinner at grandma house.

3) I bought a nice design plastic for my table.

1) I ate the ba zhang my grandma made, it was yummylicious!

2) Collect Adventure Cove tickets safely.

3) Paid income tax for the first time. Grateful because I lived old enough till the day I have to pay income tax and that I'm earning enough to have to pay income tax. 

SEA Games Carnival

Went to the SEA Games Carnival last Saturday after watching the swimming heats at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. The carnival is located just beside Stadium station.

 

Wanted to register for the hot air balloon before we went for the swimming heats but didn't managed to because both of us were not wearing covered shoes!!!

But to be honest, the hot air balloon doesn't look too fun because it doesn't free flow and it doesn't fly to a very height. Haha, or maybe we were just sour grapes cause we don't get to sit.

Went to get our carnival card. Collect 5 stamps by playing games to get a badge.

Hockey Golf

Off to collect some chops with hockey golf. Haha, don't judge me by the way I hole the hockey or my posture, my ball actually went into the hole. See how enthusiastic I am wearing the carnival crown.

 Haha this tattoo didn't last. By lunchtime, the tattoo was already all gone.

 

After this we kind of gave up collecting chops after walking on water and hockey golf because the games were all the kiddy or the queue was damn long. When we were there at around 11, the next session for laser tag was 2.15pm.

Saw interesting people walking around so it's photo time!!! 

 They had a Nila skit in between. It's the same skit that they performend when they went down to the primary schools.

 After taking this photo, I was looking outside and guess who I saw? I saw NILA!!! Immediately ran out.

 It is damn hard to take photo with NILA because everybody wants to take photo with him, so you have to be fast and be the first to rush up to him.

After that went to play with segway before heading down to MBS to watch the dragonboating competitions.

 

Initilly I was abit scare because my driving/cycling skills all damn bad. But this is damn cool!!!

Took me super long to decide if I wanted to get this shirt.

I feel that the carnival is really catered to small kids. Like kids who are kindergarten and below, or maybe primary school children also, because most the games were not suited for adults or teengaers. There were really limited activities which we could take part in. Haha, but I'm happy because I got to take photo with Nila!! Achievement of the day.

3 Things I'm Grateful For Everyday

I was watching Kang Xi Lai Le and they suggested that every night if you think of 3 things that you are grateful for, you will be able to sleep better. I shall try this and even though I already sleep quite well every night, let's hope this will give me a more positive mindset and a happier mood everyday.

2nd June 2015
1) I am healthy and still alive. Yesterday I happened to see on facebook that Shone An from Comic Boyz passed away due to complications from liver cancer at the age of 32. It was terribly shocking because I didn't know he had cancer and I just saw him on Kang Xi Lai Le last Thursday.

2) I finished my target for laminating and cutting today. I calculated wrongly the amount I have to finished yesterday, I have 4 days instead of 3 but this means I ahead of target!

3) Auntie Meiling bought me breakfast and iced milk tea this morning! :)

3rd June 2015
1) I have no problem sleeping be it day or night. I guess it is something I should be grateful for seeing how I don't suffer from insonmia. I wanted to exercise today and yesterday but I ended up sleeping :o

2) Today can wake up slightly later because work starts slightly later.

3) I got to eat about 10 wantons for dinner today.

4th June 2015
1) I finished my laminating and cutting.  Just need to arrange accordingly tomorrow. 

2) Auntie gave me a free egg when i bought noodles today. 

3) Today while waiting for bus,  within one minute i saw the bus coming.   

4) Siew Ping bought drinks and Mei Ling bought hum ji pang for us.  

5th June
Almost forgot to do this today.

1) Sze Yin bought us drinks today.  

2) Ate till very full at hdl. Although quite sad no manicure. 

3) Today is the last day of work for the semester! Woohoo

6th June

1) I took photo with NILA!!!

2) Went to my grandma house for dinner. 

3) Saw a game record breaking swim at the swimming heats. I'm suddenly enthusiastic about SEA games so quite disappointed the swimming finals are sold out.

7th June 

1) My nephew can crawl already!! So big boy already. 

2) Saw singapore score a goal during the hockey match. 

3) Once again I am grateful I'm alive. Life is just so unpredictable. It is saddening to see students and teacher passed away during school trip which should be an enioyable event.

J: Just now, xxx said that you are a princess.
Xxx: Ms Chen, you and xxxx are princesses. Mdm J is the Queen. Auntie E is the queen's mother. She is the empress. 

Not bad, now i become a princess.  I like. 

E: Ms Chen,  are you okay?
Me: yes,  why?
E: I thought you might be having a fever. 

Me: If I am tired,  should i go home and rest?
E: Yes, you should go home and rest after a hard day at work.  

O: Miss Chen, why are you always smiling?

Me: Huh? I don't always smile. I scolded you all during xxx class. 

O: Can you show me how you scold? 

This is the second time kids say I'm always smiling, but for adults I think the image they get when they don't know me is that I'm very dao.

Demand & Supply

Met Karen last Tuesday for dinner at demand and supply.  

Demand and supply is very high tech.  Their reservation is done online. When you call them they will send you a link where the reservation can be done. On the day when they call you to confirm reservation, it is done through a robot too.  

This time i had their carbonara and hazelnut latte.  

The first time I had their aglio olio it blew me away.  So delicious! The second time I went with Eunice and had their aglio olio, it tasted chao ta.  

Went back again for another try and had their carbonara, and it just tasted damm bad and weird. One of the worst because the carbonara tasted sour. Initially i thought it was my tongue or that it was the white wine. Then i karen tried and she confirmed that i was sour but she thinks it was the cheese. 

I dont know if it is suppose to taste like that or something went wrong for my order. So i dont think i will ever go back again.  Haha not like they care because their business is damn good. Better to make a reservation if going down, especially after 7pm. 

Sensory Couple/ The Girl that Smells Scents

First time I'm so updated with Korean dramas, watching while it's still showing in Korea. At episode 12 now, can't wait for Wednesday and Thursday to come.

I like the storyline of this story. No complicated triangle love which I hate but is so common in dramas. I thought there will be the complicated 'I don't know whether to love you or hate you' relationship when Moo Gak found out that Cha Rim is indirectly related to the death of his sister, but this part was kept short and sweet, which I like too.

Watching Kill me, Heal Me next.

Tsukada Nojo

Met Cheryl and Sherling for dinner yesterday. Was supposed to meet Thing Thing too but she was suddenly down with stomach flu. 

Cheryl had craving for steamboat so we went for the collagen steamboat. Better give me toing toing and biong biong skin. 

Went to Tsukada Nojo, the chinatown outlet. I always walked past this shop at Plaza Singapura and it's always super long queue. Heard that the outlet in PS is really small, even the outlet at Chinatown Point is also quite small.

Reservations only allowed before 5.30pm. I reached around 6.10 and queued for about 1 hour. The things we will do for food.

 

Hehe, that tau huay looking is our mei ren guo. It will melt and become our soup base after putting it on the inductor.  The soup is good but the ingredient is only good if you like eating vegetables. Almost 70-80% of the steamboat ingredients is vegetables. Not very suitable for me because lots of the veggies are not my cup of veggies such as radish and lady fingers.

Cheese Rice Roll - $3.80

This is supper goooooood! The meat and the cheese and the rice blended so well. I can eat 10! 

 

SO SWEET!!! Quite a waste though, cause took so much effort to draw.  

The service there is one of the best service ever. The person serving us cooked our food for us, explained the sauces to us, explained their 'member' card to us and drew this picture for us. How to not award him with best service award. Haha although the service is so good that is a little overwhelming for me. 

After dinner, walked to Central, brought Gongcha and had a good chat and got updates of each other lives by the river. At this age, our topics revolve mostly around relationships (or the absence of one) and career and complain about how we have no life after starting working. It was considered happening for me as we left the place at around 11, but as we were leaving clark quay, people were just streaming in.
