Rest in peace.

Early this morning, received news from my father that Lee Kuan Yew passed away. Although he had been critically ill for some time, I guess many of us were hoping for a miracle, also in hope that he can celebrate SG50 with us.

I think it's ridiculous how some people were giving bad comments to someone who was critically ill.  You wouldnt do that to anybody else, why do that to somebody who played an important role in giving us the Singapore we have today.

No matter whether you are a supporter or not a supporter of him,  it is sad news for us,  for Singapore.  It is undeniable that he has played an important role in helping to build Singapore from what she was to where she is today.

Due to the extensive coverage of him during this period, not only is he a founding father of Singapore,  he also comes off as an extremely caring and loving husband to his wife, and father to his children.
Even though he has passed on, his legacy as a founding father of singapore will continue to stay with us,  for generations to come.

When everyone feels his departure and grief even when we do not know him personally, we know that he has been a great leader.
I really like this picture of his.

"At the end of the day, what have I got? A successful Singapore. What have I given up? My life."

And because of that, we are able to enoy what we have today. Thank you.
